Rua Red Young Curators

16.03.31 More Fun News! – Rua Red Young Curators.jpg

That’s it! No more projects for Summer 2016! July is fully booked and I’ve a feeling this one might steal a whole load of my weekends

Last Saturday, I attended the first meeting of Rua Red’s Young Curators programme. Young Curators is a collaborative initiative where emerging curators come together to produce a visual art show at Rua Red in Tallaght. The show opens in July, but I’ll be bombarding the website with updates until then.

This year we have 11 young curators, spanning platforms and disciplines, who frankly are quiet intimidating in their experience. Our facilitator is Andy Parsons, a painter and public engagement artist working from Sligo.

Over the next few months we will be visiting galleries, talking to curators and artists and somehow trying to pull together a damn good show in 3 months.

I’ll be updating every now and then, but go to the Rua Red Young Curators’ Facebook page if you’d to follow our progress.
